Beachwood Drive Temporary Closure at U.S. 98

Summerwood Entrance Closed 8/11-8/15

Post Date:08/06/2025 2:08 PM

The Summerwood neighborhood entrance at Beachwood Drive will be temporarily closed to traffic beginning at 7:00 AM on Monday, August 11 through 5:00 PM on Friday, August 15 to allow for underground drainage installation and roadway reconstruction.

Drivers should follow posted signs and use caution when traveling near the area. Residents and drivers requiring access to the Summerwood neighborhood may detour by turning south onto Hills Road and then east onto Summerwood Drive. The closure will not impact U.S. 98 travel lanes.

All project activities are weather dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. This project is being managed by the Florida Department of Transportation.
