Clarence Street Construction Begins Mid-August 2025

The City of Panama City Beach will begin construction activities on Clarence Street in mid-August 2025 as part of a roadway improvement project. This project also includes construction of a sidewalk from Hutchison Boulevard to Moylan Road.

Planned Improvements Include:

  • Widening the existing travel lanes to 11 feet

  • Adding a 5-foot sidewalk on the south side of Clarence Street

  • Adding 6-foot shoulders to both sides of the roadway

Construction Timeline and Impacts:

  • Construction Start Date: Mid-August 2025

  • Anticipated Completion: Fall 2026 (weather permitting)

  • Work will be completed in phases.


Traffic Impacts:

Traffic control measures will be in place throughout the duration of the project, including:

  • Temporary roadway closures and detours

  • Temporary roadway diversions

Motorists are encouraged to follow posted signage, use caution in work zones, and be mindful of construction workers and equipment in the area.
